About
Through our Navigator Program, AFN secured a $35.1 million grant to increase broadband access from the National Telecommunication and Information Administration through its Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program.
The award represents the largest use and adoption grant in Indian Country. AFN will use the award to reduce barriers to broadband usage among our 73 member tribes and village corporations who make up our TBCP consortium by providing broadband-enabled devices, subsidizing broadband service, and implementing digital skills and workforce training. The award also will be used to improve healthcare access through telehealth in partnership with our health subcontractor, ANTHC.
