Treasury Compliance and Reporting

dateTuesday, April 4, 2023

time8:30 am - 4:30 pm

The AFN Navigator Program and RurAL CAP, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Treasury, are pleased to bring you two, free, Alaska-based Treasury Compliance and Reporting Training sessions.

The sessions will take place as follows:

  • April 4 – Anchorage
  • April 5 – Kotzebue

The trainings will help Alaska Tribes and Native entities come up to speed with the various Treasury recovery grants, including the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF), State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF), and Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund (LATCF).

During the sessions, Tribal Administrators, Accountants, Bookkeepers, and Lawyers will learn more about how to read their CRF, SLFRF, and LATCF award letters; how these funds may be used for economic recovery (e.g., individual payments, fishing industry, etc.); important changes in compliance; and recent program amendments to enhance flexibility in spending.

Jennifer Parisien, Policy Analyst, Treasury Office of Tribal and Native American Affairs, who will conduct the trainings. She will end each session with a meaningful Q&A, and reserve time for Tribes, Tribal organizations, and Native corporations to meet with her (if desired).

There is no cost to attend the training; however, registration is required. Lunch will be provided.

If you have questions, please contact your Regional Navigator.
