April Ferguson is the Navigator for the Bristol Bay region. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a law degree from Harvard Law School.

April spent most of her career as Bristol Bay Native Corporation’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel, where she helped Bristol Bay’s village corporations achieve greater economic development through the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Program. She is enrolled to Curyung Tribal Council (Dillingham), and is a shareholder of BBNC and Choggiung, Ltd. (Dillingham). She previously worked as an attorney for Kawerak Inc., the non-profit in the Bering Straits region, and chaired AFN’s Legislative and Litigation Committee.

April was recently inducted into the Alaska Women’s Hall of Fame. She has one son and four grandchildren. April oversees the regional Navigators.
